Your job

At ABN AMRO, it is crucial to address our regulatory challenges and opportunities proactively to drive a robust and sustainable banking business. The Regulatory Execution Team updates the Executive Committee on the progress of the bank-wide regulatory project portfolio on a monthly basis. We are looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative, and structured intern to join our team – in addition to gaining work experience, this internship can be useful input into the academic work for those in a related study field (e.g., Legal / Regulations / Banking). During this internship you will support one of the key deliverables in the scope of the Regulatory Execution Team – monthly progress reporting on bank-wide regulatory projects. This deliverable, alongside with other relevant tasks, will help the Regulatory Execution Team orchestrate and challenge the material regulatory driven projects on a bank-wide level. This enables the Executive Committee and senior management to steer on priorities – with the ultimate goal that ABN AMRO is compliant with (new) regulatory changes and requirements in time and in a sustainable manner.

Your role within the team:

  • Requesting and summarising detailed updates from regulatory driven projects / programs, adding insights, incorporating comments;
  • Adding further insights from relevant stakeholder groups, collaborating with team members to finalise reports;
  • Engagement with wide set of internal stakeholders is expected;
  • To enhance the reporting and make it futureproof, we aim to automate the process to be able to provide real-time, data-driven, fact-based and actionable dashboards supporting the execution and the implementation of the regulatory project portfolio. You are expected to be engaged to set requirements for the automated process, challenge stakeholders, and support the development and implementation of the automation process.

Your working environment

The Regulatory Execution Team orchestrates and challenges the material regulatory change initiatives on a bank-wide level. This enables senior management to steer on priorities and capacity with the ultimate goal that ABN AMRO is compliant with (new) regulatory changes / requirements in time and in a sustainable manner. We are a small, friendly team of 5 members from diverse backgrounds, with a collaborative way of working.

Your profile

You are a at least a WO student and would like to expand on your working experience or write your thesis.

  • Study related to legal or regulations field will be very beneficial. Your study can also cover fields such as management/strategy, banking, corporate communications, and/or English language.
  • You have worked with Microsoft Office (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel), experience with JIRA and/or Power BI is beneficial.
  • You can start as soon as possible (February 2021 onwards).
  • You are available for 3 months minimum, up to 6 months.
