Responsibilities

  • In support of the SBM OPERATIONS Unit Manager or equivalent, act as the Internal Client (single point of contact management role) for Operation’s review and acceptance of the Project’s technical delivery scope
  • Coordinate and provide Operations input (operability and maintainability) to technical framing, design, construction and completion stages of WIN / EXECUTE projects; to achieve a fit-for-purpose, safe, operable, maintainable and economical product, compliant with all Contractual and SBM requirements.
  • Monitor quality and consistency in the design, vendor packages, construction and commissioning of FPSO projects, in line with best practices, SBM lessons learned and in accordance with Client and SBM requirements.
  • Responsible for the coordination and quality performance of the SBM OPERATIONS Discipline Superintendents supporting the project.
  • Overall Responsible for the SBM OPERATIONS Comments Register (OCR), contributed to by Superintendents. Ensure that the OCR exchanged with Project PMT contains only essential comments. Expedite decisions via periodic (bi/weekly) meetings with EPM etc.

  • Available to travel internationally (medium term),
  • High level of safety awareness, proactive, good interpersonal communication and supervisory/leadership skills with strong commitment to a team culture;
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Ability to work independently, quickly assess and prioritize situations. Good influencing skills.

Background:

  • University degree, BSc or MSc in relevant engineering field (Process, Marine, Mechanical etc);
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in oil and gas industry, with good general knowledge of FPSO design, familiarity with engineering processes and design office phase, a knowledge of project execution and completion activities in topside construction yards and/or shipyards.
  • Direct experience of offshore operations, brownfield or commissioning, a distinct advantage.
