These documents will need to communicate complex information to an audience with varying levels of technical expertise.

Duties:

  • Engaging with clients about the team’s findings about the future of energy markets.
  • Creating manuals for explaining data and sources for clients
  • Establishing collaborative working relationships beyond immediate team, including across sites and time zones

Requirements:

  • In-depth understanding of key economic concepts
  • Experience of designing and building econometric and time-series models, ideally in a related field
  • Strong data-handling skills, including being able to select and use the most appropriate software for a task
  • Good written English, preferably including writing reports for a non-technical audience
  • Effective project management of own work and contributions of others
  • Exceptional MS Excel skills
  • Experience with modelling libraries in Python.

Desirable skills:

  • Academic or professional experience of analysing global energy markets.
  • Good understanding of classical statistics or data science related topics.
  • Appetite for extracting the maximum amount of signal out of small and medium sized datasets
  • Modelling for the purpose of making predictions or forecasts
  • Presentation skills, preferably including non-academic experience
