Your job

The individual that will best suit the role will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team and proactively on deliverables.

The key areas of support are to:

  • Provide operational and administrative support in activities such as the preparation of agenda items, keeping minutes, communication, presentations and consolidating data either for the department or for a programme/project;
  • Actively think and support to improve the Ways of Working within the team;
  • Support with a branding campaign (department branding);
  • Support the regular maintenance of materials on SharePoint and/ or PowerBI;
  • Support on the different compliance processes;
  • Identify improvement opportunities within OpCos globally potentially via our Lean Six Sigma program (yellow belt certification).

Beside the core activities, you will be involved in a variety of other activities where you can proactively support and learn from.

Your working environment

The Global P&CI team consists of 45 professionals located in Amsterdam, Poland, Nigeria, Singapore and Mexico and is operating in different expertise teams. The environment is high paced, dynamic and activities will be varied. We are looking for interns to work on a number of different topics however; we also give you the chance to work on topics outside of your sub team.

Sub teams:

  • Process Excellence team

About the sub teams:

Risk Management team: Our purpose is to support the achievement of HEINEKEN’s objectives, by facilitating the identification and assessment of key risks. We provide a consolidated and consistent picture of HEINEKEN’s risk priorities. Our ambition is to enable each individual within HEINEKEN to make decisions with a risk conscious mindset and mitigating key risks through fit for purpose processes. We timely report to our internal stakeholders on relevant risks.

Process & Control Management team: Our purpose is to work with internal stakeholders to identify, design and implement proper risk responses. Our ambition is to help business respond to key risks using a complete and integrated business process risk and control framework, linked to global process designs, supported by proper standards, tools and training.

Control Monitoring team: Our purpose is to monitor and report on the effectiveness of controls, providing management with the information necessary to manage risks in an effective manner. Our ambition is to ensure that assurance models are defined across risk areas and are fit for purpose based on risk appetite and business objectives. We also aim to standardise monitoring on common platforms to enable risk-based reporting and provide management with meaningful insights whilst supporting the OpCos to continuously improve their processes.

Process Excellence team: You will be part of the Process Excellent Team where you will focus on Business Process Management (BPM) and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). The core of our work centres around the design, measure and improvement of the core processes in Heineken. For this role, we are looking for a person who want to contribute to the further development of both BPM and CPI and assist in business as usual tasks. This includes support in developing and improving trainings and tools, support and contribution to the Process Excellence community and support to global and local teams in OpCos on various administrative tasks. By taking this role you will get acquainted with Lean Six Sigma Methodology, Microsoft BI, ARIS, BPMN 2.0 and many other related topics.

Your profile

For this role, we are looking for someone who takes initiative and can easily adapt to a fast pace and changing environment. Someone studying business/finance is preferred and fluent in English both written and spoken is required.

Also the ideal candidate is:

  • Dynamic and eager to work on a variety of topics
  • Pro-active and entrepreneurial mind set
  • Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office
  • Able to draft high quality communications (e-mails, MS Word and MS PowerPoint)
  • Collaborative and team player

  • Fluent English, both written and spoken

Requirements

  • The intern must be enrolled at a university or college for the entire duration of the internship, preferable 6 months.
  • In case of a non-European nationality, it is mandatory that the intern is enrolled at a Dutch university or college and therefore has a legitimate work permit with student status, which will not expire during the duration of the internship.
