Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in web development, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and frameworks such as AngularJS, React, etc.
  • Experience working with and managing external partners/customers of all levels.
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with containers, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience working on Internet products and technologies with knowledge of progressive web apps and accelerated mobile pages.
  • Consulting experience (internal or external). Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: JavaScript, CSS, HTML, web frameworks.
  • Ability to adapt your message to the technical level of the audience and comfortably presenting technical materials to groups of any size and background.
  • Excellent business judgment, data analysis, data-drive decision making, problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

The Mobile Sites Technical Specialist team provides deep and specialized in-region technical support for emerging mobile products. Our team aims to make mobile web faster and more engaging for users through close partnerships with Google’s partners. Our team consists of sharp, analytical minds who enjoy solving complex, strategic, operational and technical challenges for the world's largest mobile advertisers.

As a Mobile Sites Specialist Engineer, you will be responsible for providing hands-on technical support for emerging technologies, such as Progressive Web Apps, Accelerated Mobile Pages, Web Payments, Authentication and more. You will also build robust processes, systems, tools, and documentation and will work closely with the Product teams to provide feedback that improves customer experience and performance. You are a mobile product expert who can develop and deepen the. partner relationship through successful engagements, multi-product integrations, and providing day-to-day support. You'll architect mobile solutions for clients based on their business goals, and lead implementations foroduct lines during the pre-sales and post-sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Consult on and implement innovative and scalable mobile solutions using Google’s suite of mobile products, especially on mobile Web technologies (e.g., progressive web apps, accelerated mobile pages, and payments).
  • Advocate new product features and assist clients in the adoption of new products via upgrades and migrations. Provide documentation and technical guidance to ensure the technical success of clients’ integrations.
  • Ensure the prompt and proper resolution of any technical challenges faced by our clients.
  • Improve product offerings by providing client feedback on features to Google product managers and engineers.
  • Perform implementation review, and analyze/optimize client product mix to ensure their success.
