Collaboration and communication between Sales, Services and Product Management is crucial. Transaction Banking is in a playing field with many stakeholders and is closely involved in collaborative projects with parties including COO, Business Lines, R&PB, IT, Marketing & Communications, Market Infrastructure, Finance Controlling & ALM , second-line parties (such as Risk, Compliance, Legal) and Operations.

Your job

Sales offers added value to clients in the areas of Customer Intimacy and Fixing Power, where the point of departure is that payment transactions provide clients with Security, Continuity and Ease. Sales has four areas of responsibility, i.e. Commercial Clients, International Clients, Trade & Guarantees and the International Desks.

The Head of Trade Sales & Guarantees is responsible for customer satisfaction, return, effectiveness, productivity, international expertise and the overall team results and, to this end, keeps in close contact with senior management of the various segments. The duty of Trade Sales is to proactively help originate the regional, national and international sales organisations of International and Commercial Clients, and to assist in and close deals in the area of the Trade needs of clients. Trade Sales takes the initiative to ensure that the Trade Sales potential of clients is developed at the client segments and that international business growth is successful. Is involved in and ultimately responsible for complex international deals, in terms of both structuring and pricing, and is responsible for creating and maintaining a climate in which a long-term focus on the client’s needs forms the basis for operations. Encourages client-focused working, where customer interests are placed centre stage with a view to securing results within the area of responsibility.

Is the partner in business to clients, where the clients’ wishes and needs form the basis for operations. Builds a bond of trust and a sustainable long-term relationship and provides transparent products/services that meet the needs.

Your working environment

  • Nationwide, ABN AMRO has approximately 3,000 clients with international operations and total income of approximately 300 million euros.
  • 60% of the clients are Businesses; they generate approximately 20% of international income.
  • 35% of the clients are Corporates; they generate approximately 50% of income.
  • 5% of the clients are Large Corporates; they generate approximately 30% of income.

Your profile

  • Knowledge of accounting and financial processes in organisations.
  • Knowledge in the area of the use of Trade & Guarantees products for clients with international banking affairs and experience of local market customs in the designated countries.
  • Specialist knowledge of at least one additional ancillary product or ancillary activity.
  • Knowledge of the Corporate Banking organisation, the International Network Corporate Banking, his/her market area, the Cash Management products and the Trade Financing products.
  • Knowledge of and experience with working in an international setting.
  • Knowledge of and experience with operating within the mandate and structure of product management, marketing & strategy, (International) Trade Sales & Guarantees and (International) Cash Management Consultancy Corporate Clients.
  • Language skills (Dutch, English, French, German).
