We have a reputation for handling really complex data. We know how to unpick it, watch for the trends and read the patterns, and we have a talent for presenting it to the business in, digestible, bite-size and commercial chunks. We make the complex, understandable and we thrive on delighting our colleagues from across the business, with our ability to make the impossible seem possible. The digital landscape is ever-evolving, and as a complex global business, we need to want to set the trends, not follow them.

If you have a thirst for unlocking the power of data, this programme is for you. Combining analytical skills with commercial acumen to help us predict and optimise likely business decisions, you'll become one of our 'go to' people.”

Programme Highlights

As a graduate, you’ll join the Commercial Performance Team. During a series of three placements, you’ll quickly gain an in depth and broad understanding of how our business operates. From deciding on which day in January to begin our sale, to understanding the impact of events on the other side of the world, your analysis will influence business critical decisions.

We operate in a fast-paced and often unpredictable sector. We find clever ways to answer a variety of time-sensitive questions every day. How are short-haul bookings affected by changes in currency? With exposure to senior leaders, you'll relish the challenge of finding new ways of doing things and influencing decisions at the top of the organisation.

Unlike many other graduate programmes, this one will give you the opportunity to use data to help drive tangible change. Change that you'll be able to see in our airports, with our marketing communications, on ba.com, in our supplier and partner relationships, in our passenger numbers – and ultimately, in the exemplary customer experience, you help us to deliver.

Through your placements, you'll work within different teams of graduate and professional colleagues, all the way up to Senior Management, giving you the chance to learn from them and build your internal network.

Development & Progression

You can expect to learn and gain the most amazing skills and a wealth of knowledge throughout the course of the programme. As you continue to build on your knowledge, you'll be introduced to more complex projects, including those that directly affect our revenue and customers. At the end of the programme, you'll be encouraged to move to a more senior role within the Commercial Performance teams in British Airways.”

The teams

The Commercial Performance team delivers insights that drive decision-making across the Commercial Team – from long-term revenue forecasting to making pricing decisions to informing marketing campaigns.

Analytical work at British Airways is pivotal to the success of our business, so we have a dedicated Analyst Hub.

About you

We are looking for a minimum of a 2:2 degree, or equivalent, in any subject (either achieved or expected.) Ideally in a subject involving numbers and analysis. You will need to have the right to live and work full-time in the UK indefinitely without sponsorship from British Airways

British Airways is the UK's largest international scheduled airline, flying to nearly 600 destinations around the world. Whether customers are in the air or on the ground, we take pride in providing a full service experience.
