The ADM is responsible for the execution of account engagement strategy to increase customer perception of the value of the customer’s investment in Elsevier products and services. You will develop a territory strategy that is aligned with the region-wide marketing strategy and manage account level marketing efforts to the customer and the customer end-users in the region. You will develop expert knowledge of Elsevier’s applicable electronic products portfolio and support new product launches as well as new releases of existing products within the regional customer base. You will develop and deliver training programs (train-the-trainer) and customer value-improvement programs. You will be tracking, analysing and reporting on usage and customer feedback.

This role reports into the Regional Sales Manager UK & North based in the Netherlands.

KEY RESULT AREAS

Customer relations

  • Execute product launches to customers within the high standards and parameters of the segment and region go-to-market plan.
  • Conduct customer training, including onsite training for large accounts and train-the-trainer sessions.

Usage & product performance monitoring

  • Establish usage goals per customer (in conjunction with account team).
  • Establish and implement best practices for usage development.
  • Systematically monitor usage at customer and regional levels against targets, and develop mitigating action plan where usage is not meeting objectives.
  • Provide qualitative usage reporting to customers (including trend analyses) for Large and medium Accounts and as requested by Account Managers and/or customers.
  • Train customers on the admin tool for self-serve reporting.
  • Track and report usage trends.

Account Engagement

  • Create and organize account events to enhance visibility of Elsevier and more broadly increase Elsevier’s thought leadership profile utilizing central guidance, best practices and toolkits.
  • Give presentations about products/market developments, in order to improve the customer’s perception towards the products.
  • Track, analyse and report on customer feedback to account and product development teams.
  • Measure Customer Satisfaction after training sessions.
  • Organise relevant communications to customers regarding (new) products.

Sales coordination

  • Work closely with Account Manager and account team. Interact with Product Development in support of providing market and product feedback.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years in a customer-facing role (preferably B2B)
  • Experience in training and customer development, sales and/or marketing preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Clinical background desirable
  • University degree
  • Multi-cultural awareness
  • Ability to travel at least 50-60%
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
