To help accelerate our growth, we are looking for a commercial Trainee to work alongside our commercial teams. You will get the opportunity to work closely together and deploy projects with our Sales, (online) Marketing and Customer Success teams.

This is a great opportunity for a fresh sales/marketing professional looking to start in a broad commercial role and subsequently become a specialist in a specific field. As we expand quickly, the position will involve a lot of responsibility and offers a great deal of room for professional growth. This journey will not be a solo climb, as you will be coached by our Head of Sales Support, Tim van Leeuwen.

Just a regular day

You enter the office in Leiden and brew yourself a morning cappuccino. You immediately discuss your plan for the day with your supervisor. You both agree that it makes sense to first finalize the industry sales target list that you have been working on since the beginning of this week. It still requires a bit more research in the most important factors that make or break potential deals. 

After that, you check the performance of one of your latest blog posts on the website. It appears that the publication has generated a couple of promising leads. You reach out to a couple of them by phone. Some seem very interested, so plan a follow-up meeting with one of our account managers.

In the afternoon you meet with the Customer Success Manager to discuss the design of a Customer Satisfaction Survey that is planned to go live next week. You not only propose which questions to ask, but also how you are planning to automate the analysis of the results.

The end of the day is near, but not yet done. Together with one of the Business Development Managers you make your way to Schiphol and fly out to Barcelona, where you will participate in a trade show the next day. 

You will engage in a broad set of activities within our marketing, sales and customer success teams. To give you a more clear picture we listed a couple of them:


  • Assist in the creation of marketing content (e.g. blog posts, case studies)
  • Perform Inbound Lead Development and Qualification
  • Assist the Digital Marketeer in developing regional marketing campaigns


  • Participate in trade shows around Europe together with the sales team
  • Prepare trade shows, including event collateral design and delivery.
  • Help continuously improve the sales cycle (e.g. ensuring high-quality data input and monitoring commercial performance
  • Assist in Outbound Lead Generation (e.g. lead follow-up, delivery of battle-cards)

Customer Success:

  • Develop and improve Customer Satisfaction surveys
  • Coordinate ongoing collection of Customer Satisfaction insights
  • Help identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities at current customers
