An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fee Paid Events Coordinator to join the Imperial War Museums.
The purpose of the role is to support the Subject Specialist Network Manager to develop and deliver sector-facing events as part of the First World War Centenary (FWWC) Digital Portal project.
Launching in June 2020, the FWWC Digital Portal will be a permanent space on the IWM website which will record and share how the Centenary of the First World War was marked. The portal will be supported by a series of sector-facing events across December 2019 and January 2020. These will promote the project, ensuring participation across the cultural sector, and deliver workshops to support organisations to sustainably archive their material. The project has been funded by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), and will be delivered by IWM as part of the legacy of the First World War Centenary Partnership through the War and Conflict Subject Specialist Network.
The War and Conflict SSN is a partnership programme led by Imperial War Museums, to build capacity, connections and confidence in the cultural heritage sector.
