The Overview

British Gas acquired PH Jones, a leading player in the Social Housing Sector, in May 2011; we now have an exciting opportunity to join the PH Jones team.

  • Location: Walton-on-Thames
  • Purpose: Provide telephone and administration support for our busy call centre and its operatives.

The Role

  • Allocation of work and deployment to engineers within time-scales
  • Answering the telephones within allotted times
  • Dealing with all calls for repairs, servicing and installs for both client and tenants
  • Updating of client and in house management system
  • Reporting to clients and managers as and when necessary
  • Updating of client and in house management system
  • Respond to queries raised by customers in a polite and friendly manner 
  • Resolve a variety of high volume customer enquiries 
  • Order parts and allocate to engineer 
  • Plan and replan work to ensure correct productivity for each engineer 
  • Investigate and resolve routine customer complaints
  • Contact customers to rearrange, arrange appointment for re visits
  • Liaise with other departments, engineers, clients to ensure call is dealt with in line with company and contract requirements/obligations
  • Monitor calls incoming and workload and escalate when necessary
