As an Analytic Consultant Graduate, you’ll be part of a fast-growing team working on a wide variety of projects across predictive modelling, optimization, regulatory compliance and big data using the latest tools and techniques. The team is responsible for the delivery of all analytic offerings to clients within Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and some projects may require substantial time spent on client site, so you should be willing to travel. The role involves working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver high quality, end-to-end analytical solutions that create strong business impact.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop predictive models and innovative analytic solutions to solve business problems across different industries including auto, financial services, retail, insurance, manufacturing, utilities.
  • Design and develop predictive models to support decisions across the customer risk lifecycle in retail banking (acquisition, behaviour, fraud, collections).
  • Build optimised strategies for decisions across the customer risk lifecycle in retail banking (acquisition, line management, collections, profitability).
  • Challenge existing processes and incorporate advanced analytic techniques such as machine learning, or text analytics where appropriate.
  • Consider alternative data sources and how these can be best utilised and monetised.
  • Work simultaneously on a number of different projects of varying complexity and length.
  • Quantify project benefits delivered and maximise client satisfaction.

What We're Seeking

  • Strong academic background, ideally a minimum 2:1 in relevant technical degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
  • Commitment and passion to pursue a career in technology or Data Science.
  • Experience with machine learning techniques and data science projects.
  • Superior technical, programming and data wrangling skills.
  • Working knowledge of Python and/or R for data wrangling and predictive modelling.
  • Strong and proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to maintain high performance under time pressure with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts and describe technical material to non-technical users.
  • Fluency in English language is essential, with the ability to communicate persuasively and effectively.

Desirable:

  • Prior experience with a bank or financial institution.
  • Commercial experience of Python/R.
  • Experience of other programming languages such as Java, Scala, SAS or C.
  • Experience working with big data technology (Spark, Hadoop, etc).
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Familiarity with notebook interfaces such as Zeppelin or Jupyter.
  • Ability to communicate in additional languages.
  • Adept at translating business problems into analytic solution statements.
