Email Engineer

Job Summary

Our client is looking for candidates who can demonstrate in their CV having worked on Email products (preferably on UNIX platforms, Proofpoint appliances would be PLUS) and showcase some achievements in this area preferably in Engineering and development. Additionally candidates who can have show experience in enhancing the products using 'Python' or 'Perl' languages to add new functionality are desired.

Duties & Responsbilities

• Architecture and design of SMTP email Backbone which includes

• SMTP Internet gateways

• Email Gateway anti-spam and anti-virus products

• Email distribution list manager

• Cyrus based IMAP service

• SMIME email encryption gateways

• Managing stakeholder expectations:

• Familiarity with SDLC tools set for business requirements management

• Working with group IT Security, Internal Audit, Compliance and Governance

Required Technical Skills:

• Expert knowledge on SMTP and related protocols

• Expert knowledge on DKIM, DMAC, SPF and DANE technologies

• Expert knowledge on open source infrastructure software (sendmail, bind, open LDAP, Cyrus IMAP, GNU mailman, openSSL, PostgresSQL, Apache web server)

• Expert knowledge on commercial email products (Proofpoint appliances

• Experience in DevOps tools
