Our crisis services in Lancashire offer a therapeutic space for people experiencing difficulties with their mental health. We have two crisis houses based in Central and East Lancashire, three 24 hour crisis support services as well as a Lancaster-based outreach service. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Blackpool.

With a wide range of skills and backgrounds, our teams take a creative approach to their work and are an integral part to the recovery journey of those who use our services. That’s where you come in. As a Crisis Recovery Worker you will work closely with people using our services. You will plan and deliver a number of therapeutic intervention sessions to support people in developing a ‘toolkit’ of coping mechanisms to manage their crisis. From anxiety management and grounding techniques to sleep hygiene and mindfulness, you will draw upon a wide a range of therapeutic techniques and tailor each session to meet the needs of the individual.

You will liaise with a variety of other professionals and teams, taking referrals, robustly risk-assessing and making decisions with the rest of your team, ensuring that the people using our services get the holistic wraparound support they need.

We are looking for caring, consistent, flexible and creative individuals who work well under pressure and are keen to work in mental health. Good communication is essential, as well as a good knowledge of mental health. You will receive a full induction, regular supervisions as well as opportunities for personal and professional development by working across our range of services. You will also have access to extensive learning and development opportunities. The role will consist of a variety of shifts which will include out of hours work.

The salary for this post is £16,956.00 with subsequent salary progression up to a maximum of £17,478.00 per annum.
