The opportunity
The Risk Oversight Partner - IT and Finance
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
You will be the main point of contact with the IT, Finance and Commercial functions. For these you will:
- provide second line guidance, oversight, training;
- build and maintain effective working relationships;
- work with senior and department managers to implement and embed the new Risk Management Framework which includes Risk Reports, Risk Registers, RCSA and KRI/KCIs;
- monitor the adequacy of RCSAs, Risk Registers and KRIs;
- monitor business changes and ensure appropriate business readiness activities are being undertaken to accept change;
- monitor the risk and control environment, by reviewing appropriate data (such as Incidents, Audit Actions, RCSA, KRIs, Risk Registers) highlighting any emerging risks or themes to management when these are identified;
- monitor mitigating actions, reviewing and challenging management on the effectiveness of these, where these are deemed to be inadequate;
- participate in business meetings, challenging the appropriateness of risk management activities and mitigation where appropriate to do so;
- compile independent reporting for internal and client committee meetings;
- support other areas of the Risk Team to accommodate holidays and sickness;
- work effectively with other team members.

Skills we can’t do without:
- extensive experience of working within a second-line Risk Management Function within a Financial Services company
- Superb interpersonal skills and evidence of dealing with senior stakeholders
- Experience of writing independent risk related reports
- Experience of building effective working relationships with senior management
- Excellent report writing skills
- Focused work approach
- High attention to detail
- Used to working in a team environment supporting colleagues and working to tight timeliness and quality targets
- Good time management, organisation and prioritisation skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft tools: Excel, Word, Outlook
