The Role

This is a customer services and business development role within the LSE’s Regulatory News Service (RNS). The normal working hours for this role are TBC.

Primary Responsibilities

RNS Promotion/Selling – Discuss, highlight and promote RNS services to existing and potential customers, and emphasise the benefits of working with RNS through presentations and marketing events. Identify and secure new revenue streams and/or escalate where necessary.

Customer Service - Demonstrate exemplary Customer Service via telephone, email and in person, to include all aspects of regulatory requirements, announcement submission, formatting, content and RNS distribution channels.

Training – Provide customers with tailored telephone or face-to-face application and document formatting training as requested.

Secondary Responsibilities

Announcement Processing – Review, understand and release announcements to various global news destinations, in line with departmental real-time accuracy and processing targets. Add value by identifying and communicating any issue that may cause the customer or RNS exposure to reputational damage, market confusion or revenue loss.

Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Proven ability to understand how Word documents are formatted and how to convert these into HTML-ready output.

Relationship Management - Support key account relationships by understanding and anticipating their communication needs and requirements, and their relative contribution to RNS revenue.

Third Party Communication - Work with third parties (internal and external) to support announcement distribution, and in the resolution of announcement display or technical queries. Demonstrate understanding of cross selling.

Product Knowledge – Using expert knowledge of the RNS service, provide detailed product information and support to customers about the range of RNS products and services whenever required.
