R&D Head of Product & Packaging Renovation

Job Description:

Within our Food & Nutrition segment, we are looking for a visionary and people-focused Head of Product & Packaging Renovation to lead the evolution of our global portfolio and help create sustainable value for the business.

In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products and packaging continue to meet the needs of tomorrow’s consumers while delivering business performance today. You will lead global renovation programs, drive value leadership initiatives, and build the capabilities needed to strengthen our portfolio for the future.

Working across R&D, Commercial, Supply, Procurement, Quality, and Regulatory teams, you will play a critical role in delivering consumer-relevant innovation, portfolio resilience, and sustainable growth across our Food & Nutrition business.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Delivers Global Product & Packaging renovation activities and is accountable for the global portfolio maintenance, business continuity, performance and continuous improvement in line with business strategy and portfolio priorities
• Owns product & packaging performance, raw material, recipes and costs
• Accountable for delivery of 3-year global COGS PRIME pipeline through technical solutions and partnering with Commercial in delivering Material Resilience.
• Ensures that formulations, raw and packaging materials comply to internal and external policies, quality standards and all relevant legal and Mars requirements
• Accountable for the Raw material & Packaging Specification program of work and delivery of high-quality specifications, MRAs and PRAs
• Ownership of capabilities in raw materials, formulation, product performance, product and packaging development
• Responsible for representing R&D in any transformation Project

What are we looking for?

• 7+ years experience in a technical leadership role, in a complex, international business environment.
• Proven experience leading and developing large, high-performing teams.
• Proven track record of building collaborative, x-functional business relationships.
• Strong technical expertise in product development, packaging, formulation, raw materials, and portfolio management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
