Bachelor Internship: Automate Testcases

Internship opportunity for a hands-on student with affinity for Automotive, electronics and software

At DAF, we develop software in house for the engine and vehicle controllers. The products developed within Paccar Electronics - Embedded Engineering are applied on DAF trucks but also in the PACCAR brands Kenworth and Peterbilt. Through component sales, our products are also used by leading bus and coach manufacturers.

To support all our programs, the Software Verification Department is verifying the software requirements on the target Electronic Control Units (ECU) making use of Hardware in the Loop (HIL) test environments. The majority of the testcases have been executed manually in the past, but we are transitioning to automated tests. This internship focuses on migrating the manual testcases into automated testcases.

This assignment includes:

• Analysis of the testcases & Requirements
• Create a plan to migrate the testcases smoothly (Manual/Scripted/Hybrid)
• Automate testcases making use of the DAF test Automation framework (STAF)
• Execute and debug testcases

Possible extension:

• Develop method to run the testcases on different environments

Jouw profiel

For this assignment we are looking for a Bachelor student in Automotive, ICT, Computer Science, or Software Engineering. We are searching for an enthusiastic student with a hands-on attitude and affinity with automotive, electronics, and software. You possess the following competences: team player, planning and organizing, problem analysis, and basic programming skills.

Afdeling

You will be part of an experienced international team in the Software Verification department of Paccar Electronics Embedded Engineering, located in the DAF Technology Centre office in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Paccar Electronics Embedded Engineering is primarily located in Eindhoven and has an office in Pune, India, with over 200 highly skilled people today. Together we deliver world-class engineering in the domains of engine controllers and vehicle controllers. In addition to focusing on common software development, Embedded Engineering works closely with PACCAR Embedded Engineering located in Renton (near Seattle), USA.
