Lead a Strategic Team within ASML’s Customer Support Applications in Europe

Introduction to the job

This is a strategic leadership role within the Customer Support (CS) Applications team in Europe, ideal for professionals with a technical background and strong people management skills. You will operate in a highly dynamic and cross-functional environment, aligning with internal stakeholders and customers to deliver performance-focused solutions that strengthen ASML’s market competitiveness and customer value.

This position offers the opportunity to lead a diverse regional team responsible for enabling product performance and driving applications value across customer nodes. Your work will be instrumental in supporting customer operations, integrating ASML’s broad portfolio of DUV, EUV, MPS, and Applications products into high-performing node configurations, and shaping the roadmap for future nodes and application solutions.

Role and responsibilities

As Head of CS Applications Europe, you will lead and develop a cross-regional team that executes application engineering strategies, supports service business operations, and enables direct impact at customer sites. You will drive both tactical execution and strategic planning, in close collaboration with sectors like CT, central D&E, Business Lines (BLs), and Customer Support (CS). You will also engage with customer stakeholders, influence their technology roadmaps, and ensure our applications contribute to their performance and business objectives.

  • Collaborate across CT, D&E, BLs, and CS to define and deliver high-value solutions that improve ASML’s competitive position.
  • Lead execution of the regional business plan, aligning financial goals with long-term strategy.
  • Own and manage complex engineering and customer application projects across multiple products and platforms.
  • Integrate node solutions that include DUV/EUV systems, Apps options, and customer configurations.
  • Actively engage with customers to understand business plans and contribute to joint roadmaps and solution development.
  • Represent the team in monthly meetings (e.g., QRMs, TRMs, ORMs), driving alignment between ASML and customer goals.
  • Lead organizational design changes and implement cross-sector process improvements.
  • Anticipate skill and knowledge gaps and develop talent strategies to meet future capability needs.

Education and experience

  • MSc or PhD in a technical discipline; (E)MBA or business education is a plus.
  • Knowledge of and experience in semiconductor processes (e.g., Photonics, power applications, engineered optics).
  • Broad and extensive industry experience, preferably across multiple sectors.
  • Proven experience managing large teams (30+ FTE), including technical professionals and leaders.
  • Direct experience in customer-facing roles and stakeholder alignment.
  • Experience with business development, project portfolio management, and financial planning.

Skills

You will work at the intersection of customer operations, ASML engineering, and regional execution — requiring strategic insight, operational discipline, and leadership under pressure. You’ll need to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes while building engagement and alignment across geographies and functions.

  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and execution capability.
  • Able to drive alignment across multiple sectors and teams.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills in a diverse, multi-national environment.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence both internal and external senior stakeholders.
  • Capable of balancing short-term delivery with long-term planning.
  • Highly structured and resilient under changing business priorities.

Other information

You will report to Senior Management and be part of the leadership team of the assigned customer or technology entity. This role involves both strategic and tactical responsibility — with a planning horizon of 1–2 years. You will manage a diverse and complex stakeholder network, including senior representatives from D&E, CS, BLs, and global account teams. You will work from base location Veldhoven (NL) and the role requires approximately 50% travel.

This is a key time to lead within CS Applications. The team is highly visible, directly supports business growth, and plays a central role in enabling ASML’s technology roadmap at customer sites. If you’re passionate about technology, strategy, and customer engagement — this is a role with high visibility, direct impact, and opportunity to shape ASML’s future in the semiconductor industry.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
