Introduction

Join the EDEV Design Outsourcing department at ASML, where we manage all design outsourcing activities and drive process efficiency through innovative tools. Our team created the Farmout Portal to streamline requests and tenders for external design work. We aim to improve this portal to make processes more efficient and user-friendly. Your internship will help us enhance and extend a semi-complex tool built on the Mendix platform. This work will directly support better collaboration and smarter decision-making.

Your assignment

You will improve an existing Mendix-based tool and prepare it for future integrations. If you are new to Mendix, you will learn the platform during the internship. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Gathering requirements from stakeholders and implementing improvements in the tool
  • Combining similar applications into one integrated solution
  • Defining requirements for integrating different processes into the tool
  • Enhancing usability and ensuring a smooth user experience
  • Testing and validating new functionalities before deployment
  • Documenting changes and providing clear guidelines for future updates

This is a bachelor or master (thesis or non-thesis) internship for a minimum of 6 months, minimum 4 days per week (2-3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is February 2026.

Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

  • Have a background in computer science, data science, or a related field
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Are proactive and eager to learn new technologies
  • Can work collaboratively with different stakeholders
  • Have basic programming knowledge and an interest in low-code platforms

Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship
  • Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular
  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. If you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter should include the willingness to relocate
  • If you are a non-EU citizen studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement)
