Job Purpose

In this exciting role you will be responsible for providing financial support and analysis to the supply chain organization, ensuring accurate cost management, performance tracking, and decision-making. This role focuses on delivering insights into manufacturing, logistics, and procurement costs, driving efficiency and profitability.

The analyst partners with cross-functional teams to forecast, budget, and monitor supply chain expenses, identify risks and opportunities, and support strategic initiatives that optimize working capital and cost-to-serve. In addition, the analyst plays a vital role in driving gross margin improvements by collaborating across departments to pinpoint cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives that enhance profitability throughout the supply chain. This involves analyzing cost structures, supporting process optimizations, and contributing to projects aimed at improving overall financial performance.

Main Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Support supply chain budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
  • Provide variance analysis on actual vs. forecasted costs (manufacturing, logistics, procurement).

Cost Management

  • Monitor and analyze cost drivers across the supply chain.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.

Performance Reporting

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for supply chain operations.
  • Track KPIs such as Cost per ton, Gross margin, inventory Days on hand and working capital.

Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, and logistics teams to provide financial insights.
  • Support decision-making for sourcing strategies, production planning, and network optimization.

Risk & Opportunity Analysis

  • Highlight financial risks and opportunities within supply chain processes.
  • Recommend actions to mitigate risks and capture savings.

Project Support

  • Provide financial analysis for supply chain projects (e.g., capacity expansion, cost-saving initiatives).

Data & Systems Management

  • Maintain accuracy of supply chain financial data in ERP systems.
  • Drive process improvements and automation in reporting.

Skills You Should Have

  • Financial Analysis & Modeling: Strong ability to interpret data, build models, and provide actionable insights.

  • Cost Accounting Knowledge: Awareness of cost structures related to manufacturing, logistics, and procurement.

  • Advanced Excel & ERP Systems: Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and experience with SAP or similar ERP tools.

  • Data Visualization: Ability to present complex data clearly using tools like Power BI or Tableau.

  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or professional certification like CMA/CPA is a plus).

  • Experience: 2–4 years in finance, preferably in supply chain or manufacturing environment.

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with financial planning tools, ERP systems, and data analytics platforms.

  • Language: English proficiency
