About The Role

The Sales Strategy Manager is responsible for leading the planning and execution of strategic commercial programs that support scalable growth across Elsevier’s Corporate business. This role applies rigorous program management discipline to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with commercial priorities. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with senior leadership, shaping the future of our commercial strategy in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. Working in close partnership with the Director of Sales Strategy, the role translates business objectives into actionable plans, drives cross-functional alignment, and supports data-driven decision-making at the leadership level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic commercial programs, ensuring stakeholder alignment, thorough planning, and on-time, high-quality execution.
  • Align program objectives with Corporate sales strategy and ensure consistent communication across functions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive adoption and execution of sales initiatives.
  • Monitor program performance using defined KPIs; analyze results and provide insights to inform leadership decisions.
  • Identify risks and dependencies early, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain program momentum.
  • Support change management efforts related to sales strategy implementation.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in sales operations, or commercial strategy, with success leading strategic initiatives that deliver measurable impact.
  • Skilled in navigating global matrix organizations and complex stakeholder environments.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience presenting insights to senior leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Pricing experience is an advantage.
