Description of assignment

As our intern, you will support our FSSC team in identifying, developing, and implementing automation and AI-powered solutions for everyday finance tasks. You will collaborate closely with colleagues in the Netherlands and across our international organization to make our processes smarter, faster, and more reliable.

Don’t worry if you don’t have much experience yet with automation or AI tools, what matters is your eagerness to learn, your interest in finance, and your drive to make a difference!

Department description

The FSSC EMEA team is located in Veghel (headquarters of Vanderlande) and consists of 21 people. The main goal of the team is to provide high-quality and professional services for the EMEA region. The scope of FSSC EMEA includes tax and compliance, credit management, and maintaining/improving financial processes. All regular transactions, such as processing invoices and bank statements, are executed by colleagues in Pune (India).

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Analyze current finance processes and identify opportunities for automation, AI integration, and improvement.
• Learn and use tools like Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Alteryx, and AI-driven solutions to build applications that automate repetitive tasks and enhance decision making.
• Work with the team to design, test, and implement automation and AI-powered workflows.
• Document your solutions and share your findings with the team, including insights gained from AI models.
• Get familiar with finance tools such as JD-Edwards, Hubble, and Vena.
• Participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions with colleagues from other departments, exploring how AI can improve finance operations.

Your Profile

• You are currently studying Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Information Management, or a related field.
• You have an interest in technology, automation, and Artificial Intelligence (experience is a plus, but not required).
• You enjoy analyzing finance processes and finding ways to make them better using digital and AI-driven solutions.
• You are proactive, eager to learn, and a team player.
• You have good communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
