About the job

This position works within Danone’s Quality & Food Safety Department and cross-functionally across the End-to-End Value Chain. The primary responsibility is to ensure the Quality and Food Safety of Danone products by driving QFS governance and compliance to deliver our promise to consumers and customers every day. This role leads the Global Quality & Food Safety Pillar of Danone’s Integrated Work System Initiative (Dan-IWS) and drives globalization of IWS principles.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Be a proactive leader in the Dan-IWS initiative as an enterprise-wide effort.
  • Build and Lead the Global QFS Pillar Team; coordinate the network and drive action plans to completion.
  • Own Global QFS Pillar governance; establish and maintain the appropriate framework and KPI’s; ensure appropriate reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure all Pillar content remains consistent with Danone’s Quality & Food Safety Standards.
  • Lead integration of the existing QFS initiatives and programs into the Dan-IWS framework.
  • Develop and Maintain the Global QFS Pillar Guidebook.
  • Lead development and implementation of the Master Plan and Give’s and Get’s.
  • Define the focus areas, organization expectations, and priorities and deploy to the site pillars.
  • Own the Dan-IWS DMS and Work Process.
  • Lead development of appropriate standards and tools.
  • Own and Drive Finished Good Loss and Cost of Non-Quality Initiatives supporting the IWS Zero Loss Journey.
  • Participate in and advocate for consolidated reporting methodologies for losses and deviations; fully leverage existing tools and support integration of local/legacy tools.
  • Develop and deliver training content to build capability at all levels of the network.
  • Own the QFS Dan-IWS domain, ensuring applicable audit tools are designed to capture gaps.
  • Develop self and other Quality Pillar members as subject matter experts in IWS.
  • Participate as a member of the QFS functional team, supporting strategy execution.
  • Build and grow E2E relationships and strengthen ways of working cross-functionally.
  • Stay current with applicable regulatory and certifying agency guidelines and new technologies.
  • All other duties as assigned.

About you

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science/Food Science/Technology or similar major.
  • Min 7-10 years combined experience with Food Quality & Food Safety, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, R&I.
  • Prior responsibility as a QA Manager/Engineer for a food manufacturing facility.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Expert understanding of Quality Systems, Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Food Regulations.
  • Advanced understanding of plant production systems, manufacturing equipment, GMP, SPC, sanitation, and EHS.
  • Experience with FSSC (GFSI) auditing schemes.
  • Training and Experience in Root Cause Analysis, Risk Management, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Ability to work under deadlines, with multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work with data analysis and statistics.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within the organization.
  • Must be adaptable and flexible.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, able to work independently.
  • Ability to work with confidential materials.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Able to quickly learn new systems, tools, and programs.
  • Fluent in English.
NONESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior experience with Integrated Work Systems.
  • Prior experience with Project Management.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and/or similar ERP databases.
  • Language fluency in addition to English.
