As Data Analyst at Effectory you will be improving the working lives of millions of people by leveraging employee data to help companies make better decisions, optimize operations, gain insights, and achieve strategic objectives. In this role you can apply your knowledge of analyzing and interpreting HR- and employee-data in a variety of ways.

This role divides its time between the Product Development and Consulting with separate but overlapping responsibilities. Formally you will be part of the Data Team, that is part of Product Development.

The role of Data Analyst has 3 areas of responsibility:

Product Development (50%)

Collaborating with our data scientist, you will develop data-driven enhancements for our products and services, leveraging our data in innovative ways. Your contributions can include constructing predictive and descriptive models that empower our customers to better understand, interpret, and act on their survey results.

This role involves tasks such as data collection, pre-processing, and conducting various types of exploratory analysis using survey data, metadata, and web analytics. You will have the creative freedom to incorporate additional external data as needed. Making data visible through dashboards and reports is crucial for our product's success, and you will design innovative dashboards based on the data you collect and analyze, providing valuable insights to our customers.

Data Analysis for Thought Leadership (25-40%)

For 2024 and beyond, our team of consultants aims to strengthen our thought leadership capability. Building on our historical data, benchmarks, and numerous studies, we have a wealth of relevant and interesting data to share more (pro-)actively, something our customers expect from us and frequently inquire about.As a Data Analyst you will collaborate closely with our Consultant - Thought Leader to investigate hypotheses and create relevant insights. We share these insights with our marketing and sales teams, use them to present during events as well as for our customer facing teams, helping them in both their commercial and advisory tasks.

Custom Data Analysis for Customers (10-25%)

Although we do not actively offer custom data analyses to customers, around 30 enterprise customers per year request custom analyses based on our research, sometimes in combination with their own data. This sometime involves doing an intake with the customer and possibly also an explanation of the findings.


You are an experienced Data Analyst with at least 3 years relevant work experience. You have a master’s degree, with a quantitative character, like for instance econometrics, mathematics, or data science. Next to that:

  • You have experience with modern data analysis tooling such as Python, R, Jupyter Notebooks, SQL, Databricks.
  • Experience in the different phases of the analysis life cycle: data collection, extraction, cleaning and preparation, statistical methods for analysis, visualization and reporting and data modeling predicting
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • If you have experience in the field of HR/Employee data that is a plus
