THE ROLE

Interested in working for a fast growing international retail company?

We are looking for a Junior Credit Controller to manage debtor accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices in a fast-paced environment. We expect the Junior Credit Controller to work on reconciliations, reach out to internal and external parties and to be fluent in English. French speaking is a plus.

In this role you will report to the Senior Credit Controller.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collections & reconciliations

  • Monitor debts of wholesale customers;
  • Correctly allocate payments received;
  • Reconcile accounts with customer statements and investigate discrepancies;
  • Follow up of debit note requests and issuance credit notes;

Communication:

  • Respond to customer inquiries;
  • Liaise with internal parties like Sales and Operations teams;

THE PROFILE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting
  • Min 1 year of relevant work experience (ideally in Retail) in a similar role;
  • Attention to detail and ability to reconcile complex debtors' accounts;
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English. French is a plus.
  • Ability to deal with problematic customers;
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines;
  • Good understanding of IT systems, excellent MS office skills (especially Excel) and business intelligence tools;
