The role is responsible for enhancing competitive intelligence and market sizing capabilities as an internal consultant for the Stryker APAC team. You will play a crucial part in shaping the competitive and marketing strategy, collaborating closely with key stakeholders. This position involves accessing, assessing, and analyzing both internal and external data to develop best practices for market sizing, competitive tracking, and market insights.

As part of the Business Development and Business Insights APAC team, you will work across all major Stryker businesses, gaining exposure and experience with various countries, functions, and stakeholders.

What you will be doing:

Insights (Customer, Market and Competition):

Analyze marketplace and translate into:

  • Market size and share trends
  • relevant insights related to disease trends
  • opportunities and challenges evolving as a result of evolving standards of care

Synthesize and develop:

  • Analyses on the macro environment to facilitate strategic planning and opportunity quantification for new business development opportunities
  • Processes and build capability to assess competitive dynamics at BU level
  • Data toolkits and analytics support / modelling to facilitate business & strategic planning and management discussion.


  • Organize and manage market information database / repository to track performance in target segments
  • Conduct specialized market analyses for business specific / country specific needs.
  • Assist business / country leadership with data and insights to develop commercial strategies & go-to-market models
  • Leverage APAC frameworks to support business / country specific initiatives
  • Provide project management support in key projects
  • Contributes specific analyses to aid in the construction of the marketing plan: understanding the components of the Stryker marketing strategy framework and how they fit into strategy and marketing plans
  • Links insights to key business decisions, writes prescriptive recommendations, and works with the business to ensure that those recommendations are activated
  • Works with business partners to synthesize the organization’s current accumulated knowledge set and identifies gaps that need to be filled in order to improve decision making.

Who are we looking for:

  • Minimum or currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Management / Business Administration.
  • 2+ years market research experience preferred.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines.
  • Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority.
  • Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
