Purpose of Role

The Vice President of Commercial EMEA is accountable for driving top and bottom line growth across strategic and regional Wholesale partners as well as assigned Distributor portfolio.

Your Impact

  • Part of the EMEA Leadership team, with direct reporting to the EMEA SVP Managing Director
  • Leading a direct team of 20+ FTE, own strategic account partnerships and relationships, and developing country/channel growth across the EMEA region with associated P&L accountability
  • Forecast, plan, and execute the commercial and financial plans for assigned account base defining key partnerships and KPIs for success
  • Design and drive Distributor long-range plans to allow for portfolio management across markets, identifying priority markets in balance with sustained markets, and activating areas for growth and opportunity for new tenders in key markets
  • Coach and develop teams with a focus on strong leadership, accountability, and empowerment
  • Consistent communication and partnership with senior levels - in EMEA and globally, as well as external accounts
  • Role includes high-level influencing, collaboration, and negotiation - both internally and externally

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree; MBA a plus
  • 15+ years of relevant commercial and P&L accountability in the Retail/Sporting Goods/Apparel/ Footwear industry
  • Direct working knowledge, exposure, and understanding of the EMEA region, with a deep knowledge of the local market dynamics and opportunities
  • Proven success in leading and managing time-sensitive, complex projects and initiatives, delivering results, and driving growth in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Solid track record of successfully leading, coaching, and developing international, diverse, and remote teams with a visible ability to inspire and engage others
  • Proficiency in collaboration and executive presence in a matrix setup and building highly effective partnerships across a multitude of internal and external stakeholders
  • Significant ability to influence behavior at all levels and manage successful change
  • Proven expertise in designing and executing multiple strategic projects with a consistent track record of meeting and exceeding targets while demonstrating accountability
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proven enterprise mindset to ensure prioritization alignment with strategy and resources

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office
  • Return to Work Designation: Hybrid, with 3 - 4 days a week in-office as minimum
  • Travel: 50% - 60% of the year
