Business area Wind is looking after the development, construction and operation of wind power onshore and offshore as well as other non-hydro renewable activities like solar and batteries. We oversee the maintenance, operation and continuous improvement of wind generation assets, safely and with the highest levels of availability and profitability. We also perform the structuring and execution of project partnerships in accordance with the overall wind strategy.

The purpose of our team is to ensure that we at Onshore Wind reach our very ambitious profitability targets to continue being a best-in-class developer across all markets. Our team has two main focus areas. One is Business Intelligence focusing on cost and value engineering services. The second area is the Levelised Cost of Electricity (LCoE) program management. They focus on the implementation of technical and commercial solutions to improve the profitability of our development portfolio. As a Senior Cost and Value Engineer you will work very closely with our colleagues from Market Development, Procurement and Project Delivery.

As a Senior Cost and Value Engineer, you will take on a varied number of key responsibilities being:

  • Support asset development projects by providing project-specific CAPEX and OPEX estimates throughout the entire development and procurement phases.
  • Develop and implement models and databases to advance our Business Intelligence strategy, optimize processes for data management and digitalization and contribute to improving our data maturity.
  • Develop renewable energy plant simulation tools to evaluate the impact of different project and portfolio initiatives, and analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and supplier feedback to identify opportunities.
  • Finally, we expect you to participate in the development of the team and department strategy.


The location of this position can be either Kolding (DK), Amsterdam or Stockholm.


You have an analytical mindset and the ability to make sense of complex and sometimes contradictory information. Handling uncertainty by operating effectively is natural for you, even when things are uncertain or the way forward is not all clear. Being able to apply your knowledge, ideally from working with development projects with renewables, is key to being successful in the role.

Further, you are collaborative and able to communicate in a way that conveys a clear understanding to your audience.

Additionally, you have:

  • Minimum a master's degree in Engineering, Economics or similar
  • +5 years of experience in the renewables industry, in using data and techno-economic modelling to support delivering successful business solutions
  • Solid user experience in i.e. Tableau, Power BI, Python, R, SQL or Azure
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
