About the Service Desk

The Service Desk is designed to support all sold Ampelmann systems and deliver outstanding service to our clients according to our service agreements. It acts as a central hub for handling sales and service requests and ensuring smooth communication between Ampelmann and its clients. This department plays an important role in maintaining customer satisfaction by promptly addressing any issues or concerns raised by clients. Additionally, the Service Desk coordinates with various internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely solutions and uphold the quality of service promised to clients. The Service Desk sets the standard for services and policies regarding sold systems.

Your role as Sales Support Service Desk

As Sales Support within the Service Desk, your primary objective is to assist Services Managers in ensuring exemplary service delivery to our clients. Your responsibilities include processing sales requests by generating quotations, managing sales orders, and overseeing timely delivery to clients globally. Additionally, you will handle email correspondence, administration tasks, and reporting duties. Collaboration with Supply Chain, Finance, Service Managers, Operational Project Managers, and Operations Project Support is integral to your role. You will report to the Manager Service Desk and work closely with 3 Service Managers/After Sales Engineers to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction across all service-related activities.

Regular activities

  • Assist Services Managers in ensuring satisfactory service delivery to clients.
  • Process sales orders and prepare and provide accurate sales quotations efficiently to ensure timely delivery to clients worldwide.
  • Manage email inbox effectively to promptly address client inquiries and requests.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as documentation and reporting to support sales operations.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in sales support processes.

We ask

  • Vocational education (MBO) or higher, coupled with 1-3 years of relevant experience in administrative back office/sales support/customer service environments.
  • Highly proficient in English, with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experienced in using MS Office and knowledgeable about various computer programs; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and proactive approach.
  • Solution-oriented mindset, and dedication to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
