Purpose of the job

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for spearheading our sales efforts in the Benelux region, primarily focusing on the Infrastructure market. Your mission will be to achieve and exceed sales and profitability targets set by the Strategic Management Unit (SMU). Your role will encompass acquiring new business, nurturing existing customer relationships, and collaborating with various internal teams to enhance our product offering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Portfolio Management: Oversee and manage a customer portfolio in the Benelux region, ensuring the effective execution of the sales plan.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and systematically pursue new sales opportunities, consistently generating leads and maintaining a robust sales pipeline in the CRM system.
  • New Business Development: Strategically identify, plan, and cultivate relationships with new customers in alignment with business development goals.
  • Customer Support: Provide the necessary levels of contact, service, and support to meet sales targets, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Monitoring: Regularly monitor sales performance against agreed targets and take corrective actions when necessary to ensure goals are met.
  • Sales Strategy: Implement approved sales strategies and coordinate activities with Technical Representatives to achieve sales objectives.
  • Price Negotiation: Engage in price negotiations with key accounts and report competitive pricing information to the marketing team.
  • Sales Activities: Plan, execute, and report on sales activities within the designated sales area to drive business growth.
  • Customer Relations: Foster a positive company image and build long-term relationships with customers through effective communication and service.
  • Feedback and Reporting: Collect and analyze customer feedback and market trends, reporting findings to upper management for informed decision-making.

What do you bring?

  • Competent team player with a strong ability to work autonomously and a passion for sales and marketing.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • Strong presentation and customer relationship-building skills.
  • Understanding of protective coatings; knowledge of coating technologies is a plus.
  • Proven track record in successfully managing a sales area, preferably in the coatings industry.
  • Self-driven, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines with accuracy and professionalism.
