This position requires a flexible and strong personality, along with excellent writing skills, analytical capabilities, stakeholder management and a proactive, go-getter attitude. Additionally, the role requires an understanding of financial markets, financial products and risk management principles. Within this second line Risk Management department, you will be responsible for managing de Volksbank’s market risk and counterparty credit risk exposures. Role and Responsibilities
At de Volksbank, we believe that banking is about more than just money. It’s a way of being of value. For our 3 million customers, De Volksbank wants to stand out by making a social impact on lives across the Netherlands. The name says it all: “the People’s Bank – Better for each other”. Be part of our vision to bring the human touch back to banking.

With this vision in mind, you’ll be working at our Expertise Center Risk, the second line department of de Volksbank, covering all risk areas. Acting as a trusted advisor to (senior) management on a wide variety of risk-related issues and improvement programs is no stretch for you. Furthermore, you’ll maintain daily contact with stakeholders within the first line and cooperate with other colleagues within the second and third line about relevant internal and external developments that impact the risk profile. You will develop your risk management skills on a broader area with the help of highly experienced risk experts around you.
