For our IT – Salesforce team, we are looking for a:

Developer & Solution Support Specialist

Based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, we are seeking a Developer & Solution Support Specialist to join our Salesforce team.

Your primary responsibilities:

In the role as Developer, you will:

  • Analyze, design, develop, and test Solutions using the best practices recommended by Salesforce. Your solutions will be well-documented and of the highest quality.
  • Participate in code reviews, learning and proposing industry-standard software development practices.
  • Act as a backup for the Release Manager, ensuring smooth operations in their absence.
  • Collaborate closely with the internal team and vendors to build effective solutions, assisting and supporting other developers as needed.
  • Extend your technical expertise around Salesforce and integration with other strategic applications.
  • Consult with the Product Owner, providing technical insights and considerations to address business challenges.
  • Use agile techniques to write and maintain the backlog, ensuring effective project management.
  • Work with colleagues responsible for releases to ensure seamless production releases with minimal disruption to customers and business users.
  • Execute data migration from legacy CRM systems to Salesforce when required.

In the role of Solution Support Specialist, you will:

  • Provide hands-on second-line support for the fully implemented Salesforce solution, including reports, dashboards, templates, and translation-related matters.
  • Manage user issues and questions within the framework of the CoE and Topdesk.
  • Assist management throughout the organization in user adoption and growth in using system functionality.
  • Utilize Chatter Groups to provide timely and accurate solutions to key users and address their needs.
  • Identify platform enhancements and best practices for governance and processes based on user experiences and training feedback. Share recommendations with the CoE team and participate in scrum teams for the launch of new functionalities.
  • Develop success stories and success cases from end-users to demonstrate the value of Salesforce usage.

What are we looking for?

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Salesforce admin.
  • Salesforce Admin certification is required, and other certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment).
  • Proficient in working in an agile (scrum) environment and familiarity with a cloud-native IT landscape.
  • Experience with Jira or similar tools.
  • Strong communication and time management skills, both spoken and written in English.
  • A team-player approach, collaborating effectively with internal and external staff to discuss solutions and contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Located in or around Rotterdam, with the right to work in the Netherlands. Dutch or EU work permit is essential.
