As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing hydrogen production and distribution system. You will have the opportunity to work on our flagship project DUWAAL, which involves developing and deploying a complete green hydrogen production value chain. You will work with a team of motivated individuals with diverse backgrounds and contribute to the company's further growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize fluid dynamics and thermodynamics expertise to design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems, components, and processes. Apply computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and other relevant tools to simulate and evaluate fluid flow, heat transfer, and pressure distribution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of subsystem components. Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop integrated solutions that meet performance and efficiency requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for improving system performance and energy efficiency. Conduct feasibility studies and develop innovative solutions to enhance system functionality and reliability.
  • Design and develop fluid systems, including piping networks, pumps, valves, and heat exchangers. Ensure proper selection, sizing, and specification of components to achieve desired fluid flow characteristics and heat transfer capabilities.
  • Plan and conduct experiments or tests to validate system designs and verify performance against specifications. Analyze test data and provide recommendations for design improvements or optimizations based on observed results.
  • Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and specifications. Maintain accurate records of design changes, test results, and project milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations. Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate safety measures to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, presenting technical concepts and ideas clearly and concisely. Communicate complex principles to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Conduct thorough technical reviews and risk assessments to ensure compliance with project requirements and identify potential issues.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of equipment and materials necessary for project execution.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong background and expertise in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
  • 0 - 3 years of experience in project engineering or a similar role.
  • Knowledge and experience in (green) hydrogen production and/or compressed natural gas projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools related to fluid mechanics, CFD and thermodynamics.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming engineering challenges.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
