Do you value openness and transparency in research, but wonder if all that openness actually improves science? Then this collaboration between UMC Utrecht and Amsterdam UMC might be just the thing for you!
As a postdoc in this project, you will investigate the effectiveness of Open Science.
Dit ga je doen
Open Science is the movement advocating for a more open research practice. It is believed that Open Science improves the reproducibility, integrity, and reliability of scientific results. In recent years, many approaches have been developed to foster a more open scientific environment. However, some experts argue that open science practices also have negative effects: they require time and effort that cannot be spent on actual research, and they can increase inequality between researchers in high- and low-income countries.
To enable researchers and research institutions to make informed decisions about whether and which open science practices they wish to adopt, we will evaluate various open science practices and provide evidence of their advantages and disadvantages.
Do you hold a PhD and are these questions also on your mind? Then this is your chance to build your own network and portfolio in this field, as a key player in our project. In the project, you will be responsible for supervising the student assistant, conducting the quantitative analyses, and handling logistics. We also encourage you to contribute new ideas.
