The main purpose of the Computer Operators role is to provide day to day support for the monitoring and management of the customers’ IT (Information Technology) services ensuring this work is carried out within the timescales and quality standards set out in contracted Service Level Agreements. Your day-to-day responsibilities include: Monitor the performance of all IT components to:Quickly identify faults when alerted by the monitoring systemsEnable increases in quality of service,Provide relevant performance statistics;Diagnose and ensure effective resolution of faults and of problem incidents arising from customers, within agreed contractual timescales;Maintain effective liaison with other support teams on identifying customer enquiries to be escalated;Ensure that all customer enquiries are effectively logged onto established recording systems (ServiceNow)Provide full and accurate details of incident progression, resolution and escalation to customers, vendors and management through effective use of the dedicated recording / reporting systems;Implement recovery procedures when required to ensure minimal user impact;Assist the Shift Leader to ensure the security and physical environment of the Enterprise Operations Centre is safeguarded and well maintained;Provide on-the-job training and coaching to junior staff within the area and help with the induction of new recruits

You will be able to work from Birmingham and be flexible to work on various 24/7 shift patterns. You must be willing and quick to learn with a great attitude to working for our company and with your colleagues.
