Working as part of the B2B Marketing team, you will be responsible for product performance of the Document Scanners and Information Management product groups that form the basis of Canon’s Document Digitisation proposition within the UK and Ireland markets.

Using your commercial prowess and self-motivation, you will gain a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape, identifying needs, trends, opportunities and challenges to drive sales, market share and profitability for your portfolio.

As the subject matter expert and spokesperson for your products with the Canon UKI organisation, you will work closely with local and pan-European marketing colleagues, as well as with third party suppliers. You will collaborate with Sales (Direct & Indirect), Professional Services, Service and all other support functions as appropriate, leading initiatives that enable the achievement of agreed KPIs and performance growth.

The role gives you an excellent opportunity to take complete ownership of the assigned portfolio to ensure correct procedure and best practice is applied to grow product performance and market share.

Through thorough market analysis, you will help set business targets, manage the product budget process and monitor progress. Providing scheduled management reporting on portfolio performance, you will develop and co-ordinate the targeted demand generation activities and forecasting, ensuring effective utilisation of price support and marketing funds through all channels.

You will collaborate with a wide cross-section of the business to gain buy in, intelligence and support from relevant stakeholders such as Finance, Sales teams, Services and Support Group, Professional Services, Suppliers, and Partners. Working closely with the wider marketing organisation, you will guide strategy and activities to optimize target market opportunities for your portfolio.

Self-Development is important at Canon and you will be encouraged to take further training to develop your skills to become successful in the role with the support and guidance of your manager.

What we ask

You already have product marketing experience in hardware, software or technical products and a knowledge of services. Familiarity with Multi-Functional Devices, Print Management Solutions and Workflows would also be beneficial.

You must be adaptable to changing environments as your portfolio is spread across direct and indirect sales channels, through distribution and selective partners. You will also need to be familiar with transactional and solution sales processes.

You will be competent in using Microsoft Office including Excel and confident at generating reports, dashboards and formulas. Experience with salesforce.com and Power BI are also advantageous.

Being an excellent communicator, you will be a team player and have the drive and determination to succeed.
