This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base. We are presently recruiting for the role of Financial Controller, UK. The Role Responsibilities

The role will include the management of external statutory audit requirements including rationale for accounting positions and analytical and risk reviews

Leadership of key initiatives to improve the efficiency of key reporting and control processes across the UK and key European sites and their interface with the Finance Shared Centres People and Talent The FC will play a key role in supporting the Regional CFO in the management and development of the finance team in the UK and key European sites and is directly responsible for the management and development of 17 staff based in the UK.

Experience of building and developing teams is essential. The FC will be required to attract, develop and retain a high calibre team responsible for the financial, regulatory and statutory reporting for all UK entities as well as providing guidance and leadership on reporting and control activities to key European sites. Risk Management Application of and adherence to the Finance Operational Risk Management Framework, designed to support the management of key operational risks across critical onshore and offshore processes.

Manage the finance activities to ensure compliance with the Financial Control Policy and play a leadership role with respect to the development of the financial control environment globally Experience The complexity of the role requires experience of Financial Markets products, ideally covering FX, credit, interest rate derivatives, options and Treasury debt products. Experience of other products would be beneficial

The role holder will have experience of financial and tax reporting for these products and ideally will have experience of product control processes to supplement the financial accounting experience

Strong interpersonal skills are required to effectively engage the senior stakeholders that this role is exposed combined with excellent communication skills

International experience would be an advantage given the international reach of SC and location of key finance partners. Regulatory & Business Conduct

Key Stakeholders • Regional CEO • Regional COO • Group Finance • Group Tax • Internal & External Auditors • Head of Finance Shared Service Centre • Global Process Managers Other Responsibilities The FC will be required to participate in a number of global finance forums, either as a member or delegate for the Regional CFO. Our Ideal Candidate Professional Qualification in Finance &/or Accounting (ACA or MBA)

Relevant finance/accounting experience within the financial services industry, preferably banking
