Job Description

Team/Department Profile:

This is an exciting role within the Starcom Planning team on an exciting retail client. You will work under a Managing Partner the wider planning team. The Lidl team at Starcom has a real ‘team’ feel. We enjoy working together, and are keen on fostering an atmosphere of collaboration as well as ensuring the team grow and learn.

The Lidl account is a fast moving and a demanding piece of business so excellent organizational skills, a pedantic attention to detail and the ability to react quickly with new ideas is imperative. We work very closely with our activation and investment teams on a daily basis to ensure the smooth running as an ‘always on’ client. We also have very close and collaborative relationships with Lidl creative, social and PR agencies. So we are looking for someone with excellent communication and relationship building skills that will enjoy working within a friendly team.

Role:

As Manager you will be expected to lead with the day to day implementation of campaigns as well as helping to develop the Account Executives on the team.

  • Have a clear understanding of a client’s business and their objectives
  • Should be able to clearly understand and rationalize both touchpoints and overall strategic approach
  • Deliver communication plans that deliver against pre-agreed brand objectives
  • Able to use and interpret planning tools effectively (e.g. Nielsen,TGI.net)
  • Able to interpret, revise and reconcile plans
  • Collaboration with the investment units and media owners to build ‘outstanding campaigns’

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day implementation of campaigns and always on (BAU) activity
  • Lead on smaller campaigns
  • Support for AD on major campaigns
  • Overseeing competitor & campaign reporting
  • Management of junior members of the team
  • Key liaison between agencies
  • Key day-to-day client contact
  • Overseeing media laydowns for the year, budgeting and finance process
  • Capture good work and collaborate with others to produce strong award entries and other forms of recognition for our work
  • Promote the agency, its clients and its work, internally as well as externally
