DESCRIPTION

Mews Systems is seeking an Analyst & Researcher to join our team at our London office. This is a new role in which you'll assist the Head of Corporate Development in driving forward potential M&A transactions. It's an incredibly exciting time for our company as we continue to experience significant growth, and this new department will help us partner with our executive team to execute on new opportunities that will help continue to propel our business forward. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with a highly analytical background who enjoys tackling new challenges in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Your Mission:

  • Partner across various Mews business units to identify and evaluate potential opportunities for growth and development, including acquisitions, minority investments, and acquire-hires.
  • Design databases for new projects and data acquisition
  • Identify and understand problems through forecasting, gap analysis, quantitative reporting, research, and statistical analysis
  • Identify and develop potential partnership opportunities with other companies who can supplement our service offerings to customers.
  • Perform business analyses and build cases around potential investment opportunities and act as the pivot of Mews’ strategic growth initiatives.
  • Perform research and due diligence on potential investments in Hospitality and adjacent markets.
  • Act as the point person to Mews senior leadership in presenting and validating potential opportunities, including post-close integration planning with Mews’ legal team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master's degree in Economics required
  • Further education in mathematics, business science, accounting & finance preferred
  • Experienced in data-driven analysis, modelling/manipulating financial
  • data, conducting empirical research and applying advanced statistical analysis using Stata.
  • Experience/interest in identifying, scoping and executing on M&A transactions. Ability to negotiate financial and legal deal terms.
  • Extremely strong written and oral skills and ability to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong quantitative ability with experience/interest in financial modelling and strategic analysis required.
  • Able to manipulate large, complex data sets using a variety of software applications.
