DESCRIPTION

An exciting role within a rapidly expanding luxury beauty brand, Business Systems Solutions Architect will be a key actor in guiding, delivering and optimising the ongoing performance and evolution to the internal systems architecture, and management of our technical team.

This is a technical role with a broad remit and the right candidate will define and deliver the systems roadmap over the next few years. The expectation is that the right candidate will use their experience to partner with the commercial functions to define a strategy and vision for business systems.

We are looking for someone with tried and tested experience, with hands on delivery of system analysis, design, build, and delivery. They must be hard working, able to deal with multiple streams of competing activities, willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck into the detail and work collaboratively and sympathetically with a relatively non-technical peer group.

In return you will support the Head of Supply Chain and participate in implementing and developing new tools to optimize how the Charlotte Tilbury system architecture operates and performs.

  • Working with a team of Systems Engineers / Admins and Integration engineers managing the global Netsuite OneWorld ERP system, and Dell Boomi integrations tool, and Revel POS. The role will need to provide similar hands on configuration & development
  • Leading workstreams with 3rd Party software development providers (primarily integrations with E-commerce [Magento], POS retail platforms [Revel], and EDI providers)
  • Advisor, and in many cases lead, on discovery process for provision of new 3rd Party solutions and tools to solve business problems
  • End-to-end delivery of system enhancements and upgrades with core group of key-users
  • Monitoring system performance, taking corrective actions, and highlighting to key-users where end-user interaction with the system does not conform with process guidelines
  • Training key-users, end-users, and developing supporting documentation
  • Understanding of limitations of current architecture with regard to scaling of systems infrastructure with business growth objectives and development of long term plan for upgrades and evolutions
  • Providing support and assistance to the Head of Supply Chain in the planning, resourcing, and delivery of both tactical and strategic projects

REQUIREMENTS

The right person will need to have

  • A strong educational background with a degree in a computing, science, or mathematics based subject
  • 3+ years experience hands-on experience owning the design and configuration of Netsuite workflows, and associated integrations (EDI for example)
  • Demonstrable experience in translating workflows from business units such as Supply Chain, Finance and Retail into the appropriate system design and implementation
  • 3-5 years working closely with business analysts and system analysts
  • Can reason about engineering best practices particularly around testing, monitoring & alerting and deployment and how they can be used to aid business objectives
  • ECommerce experience strongly desirable, particularly solutions wrt the finance and operational side of the business (e.g ERPs)
  • Organized, thorough and detail-oriented
  • Numerate, analytical and a good problem-solver
  • Flexible, Fast-learner and curious
  • Ownership, ability to deliver projects from end-to-end
  • Collaborative, able to express technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Experience in fast-moving consumer goods would be a plus
  • Familiar with a variety of architectural patterns and when they are appropriate
  • Understanding of application of good engineering practices particularly around testing and release management.
