Job description – EATC – first semester 2020
a) The trainee will have the opportunity to be part of multinational EART training run by EATC.
EART is a two weeks long training on air-to-air refuelling (AAR) The 6th edition will be organized in March or April 2020 and combined with the Dutch Frisian Flag fighter exercise. Between 100 and 200 “air” and “maintenance” crews from different European nations, but also for example the US participated in the past to the event.
The EATC Public Affairs Office (PAO) organizes a major ‘Media Day’ during each event, inviting Dutch and international media representatives. Last year we welcome around 60 media representatives to the EART training. The objective of the PAO is to present EATC and the EART training : to offer an insight into AAR and multinational training, to show how tanker crews, planners, taskers and engineers are trained in a realistic and multinational framework.
The trainee will be involved in the different stages around EART and the ‘Media Day :
invitations to media representatives, managing the list of participants, organising the flights for media representatives, coordination with media representatives, contacts with the Dutch air base, preparing EART factsheets and other documents, coordinating interviews, etc…

managing the actual media day and escorting the media representatives
3. follow-up :
follow-up on published articles, coordinating information with media representatives, etc…
The trainee will work in a small PAO team and be accompanied by an EATC PAO expert. Showing initiative in the work will be appreciated.
The working language is English.
b) The trainee will also be involved in day-to-day PAO work. According to the background of the trainee, we will offer the possibility
- to assist writing articles and preparing leaflets,
- to design EATC promotional material,
