10 week summer programme

Where?

We have locations across the UK, so we'll need you to be flexible. Our major sites are in Derby and Bristol.

What you’ll be doing

Operations are rarely as complex as those handled by our Operations Management team. Join us as an intern and experience it for yourself. You'll learn what it takes to successfully manage operations for our manufacturing, assembly and repair facilities. You might even get to work with the external suppliers who make some 70 per cent of our components.

Our 10-week summer internship offers you the chance to enjoy tangible responsibility on real-life assignments. As well as learning new skills and developing your existing knowledge, you’ll gain an impressive overview of one of our businesses and how we work together to deliver engineering excellence to our customers. Your placement could be in any strategic Operations area such as Purchasing, Supply Chain, Quality, Improvement or Manufacturing Engineering in a manufacturing or assembly environment. Wherever you work, you’ll develop a true appreciation of the importance of a complex and responsive Operations function.

Working as part of a collaborative and supportive team, you’ll get involved in a manufacturing improvement project, solving problems, liaising with people at different levels of our business and finding solutions that will increase efficiency for us, and improve the service we offer our customers.

You’ll have every chance to prove yourself and, if you do well, you could get the chance to join our graduate programme.

What we’re looking for

  • Resilient, ambitions and driven
  • Broad range of achievements and experiences
  • Flexible on location
  • Good communication skills
