Have you just finished your Bachelor (HBO) or Master (WO) degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent and are you specifically looking for a TRAINEESHIP where you can develop yourself within a wide range of topics? Would you like to work for an international corporate?

Vistra offers a finance traineeship for Financial Account Manager, which will start in September (and in March). We are looking for enthusiastic and ambitious starters, who will get the chance to develop themselves at different levels during our 18-month traineeship.

You will start off with your fellow finance and legal trainees. The first month you will be getting fulltime training. This will be focused on developing theoretical knowledge, practical courses, soft skill training and you’ll get to work on challenging business cases. Various aspects of working at a corporate service provider will be discussed, such as our approach and our clients. Not only your financial knowledge, but also your legal and tax knowledge will be expanded to prepare you for a successful career at Vistra.

After this first month you are ready for take off and you will start as a (junior)Financial Account Manager in one of our client service teams. You will be responsible for all financial services of the Dutch entities of our international clients. You will work with interesting clients from a range of industries: multinationals, private equity firms, real estate companies, international accounting firms, and international law firms.

You will work closely with your financial colleagues and with external partners, such as lawyers, tax advisors and financial advisors. Each month you will have intervision, for example to discuss interesting business cases and to follow more training.

Key responsibilities

As a Junior Financial Account Manager you have two key responsibilities: accounting and account management for 40 to 60 companies. You will have direct client contact and a wide range of topics, including:

 Prepare and/or assist in monthly, quarterly and year-end closings;

  • Bookkeeping and preparation of financial statements;
  • Preparations of interim reports and annual accounts for existing clients;
  • Assisting in preparation of tax returns (VAT, DWHT);
  • Contribute to periodic reporting and prepare information to be supplied to the Dutch Central Bank;
  • Professional (verbal and written) communication with clients, shareholders, advisors and other relevant parties concerning financial matters;
  • Building and managing professional business relationships with (prospective) clients.

 In all, you will be supervised by more senior financial account managers, your team manager and HR.

Qualifications and other requirements

For our Traineeship Finance we are looking for starters who:

  • are ambitious to develop themselves broadly within an international corporate;
  • Have finished their Bachelor (HBO) or Master degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent; 
  • Would love to really get responsible working for, and with clients. You are client focused, well-organized and you have a commercial mindset.
  • Have between 0-2 years of relevant experience (gained in legal or financial services);
  • Have excellent Dutch, and English language skills. Written and spoken.
  • You have a good sense of humor and you are a friendly;
  • Are full-time available from 2 September 2019!
