Becoming a Graduate Economic Development Analyst with Capita Local Government:

This is an opportunity to work on a wide range of large economic regeneration projects with councils, developers, and large government agencies.

You will gain experience working across our specialist areas of economic development, housing, and physical regeneration.

What you will do:

  • Research using a wide variety of official data sources and the internet
  • Sourcing, organising, analysing and making a case using primary evidence
  • Carrying out study fieldwork including interviews (face-to-face and telephone), workshops and focus groups, and client consultations
  • Compiling reports for clients with clear recommendations based on evidence which allows them to make regeneration and investment decisions
  • Preparing written proposals for tenders and for non-competitive work for the organisation
  • Making presentations to clients and prospective clients

Your experience will include:

  • You will be a graduate in economics, surveying, geography or town& country planning and have a clear interest in working in our specialist areas.
  • A strong academic track record, good IT skills and well developed research and analytical capabilities are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills are required as you will be client facing throughout this role.
  • Microsoft Excel experience and skills are essential and need to be at a very good level.
  • Strong analytical skills as essential.
