Horizon teachers is working with a good secondary schools in East London who is looking to employ graduates or experienced Teaching Assistants to work within their support department. The role is to support across all subject areas, you will be working with students who have varied learning needs. 

As a teaching assistant you will be supporting and progressing students of all abilities across the school. As directed by the SENCO the ideal individual for this role will be able to adapt and support in every subject area. A background in English, Maths, Science or humanities would be looked upon favourably but not essential. You will work alongside experienced teachers and other teaching assistants to provide in class support as well as working with students in small groups and on a one to one basis. You will gain a valuable insight into the role of a teacher, prior experience within SEN support would be an advantage and will be looked upon favourably by the school.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be a vital link between teachers and students and in past years teaching assistants have been seen to improve grades as well as develop students’ behaviour.
