About Us

Aldi is growing. Quickly. And Property plays a pivotal supporting role. Because with growth like this, there’s a real need to build up our property portfolio of stores, Regional Distribution Centres, warehouse and freezer environments, as well as corporate offices.

So this team is constantly dealing with a variety of people, from councils and local residents to builders and architects. It’s all about developing strong relationships and creating robust project plans that fulfil our ambitious targets.

Every day, we get involved in an array of challenges. Many of the projects we run are on fully active sites, where Aldi people are busy working. With every project there are Health & Safety, due diligence and key negotiations with the rest of the business. This is an extremely active – and proactive – team that offers exciting learning curves for everyone involved.

What kind of roles are there?

There are two divisions within this area that focus on either Corporate or Regional Property. Corporate specialises in anything to do with acquisitions, equipment and construction of our Distribution Centres. This includes any extensions at our Head Office in Atherstone, any related projects such as new fridges or freezers, together with Group Acquisitions. We might also spot opportunities to work with other companies to purchase land, and look after enhanced and accelerated capital allowance claims.

Regional Property drive through acquisitions and new builds, and look after any improvements made to existing stores within particular regions – whether that’s an extension to a car park, to the surrounding landscape, the rollout of anything new (such as refrigeration), as well as general building and maintenance, or tenant and landlord issues. We work with a range of quality contractors – from Architects to Quantity Surveyors and Site Managers - so there’s a lot of knowledge out on site and we always choose people with the same work ethic as us.

Corporate Property Assistant

The scale of property projects we’re undertaking is huge. That’s why we need a team of efficient administrators to keep us in check. They log requests for funds and invoices. They produce site details and control all service charges, lease and rent information. Naturally, you will need to be efficient and well organised, with the ability to keep things tidy and well ordered.

Benefits

We’re good at lots of things at Aldi, but we’re particularly good at looking after our people. Yes, you’ll need to work hard and we expect you to be committed (you know, turning up on time, working hard, that sort of thing) but we’ll make every effort to show our appreciation. That’s why we offer the following benefits:

Market-leading package

Yes, the rumours are true: we pay incredibly well. But in return, we’ll ask a lot of you. That’s why we want you to feel looked after.

Nice working environment

Fresh. Energised. Attractive. Those are just some of the terms you could use to describe where you’ll work. It’s the kind of place where you can do great things. A place where your ideas will be heard and you’ll have the freedom to put them into action.

Excellent work-life balance

We always make sure our people have a great work-life balance. Plenty of time off, fantastic benefits and some decent salaries to holiday in style.

Great opportunities to develop

At Aldi we’ll value you for what you can do, rather than where you’ve come from. So we’ll accept, recognise and often implement your ideas and recognise your contribution.

Did you know... we plan to open 130 new stores during the next two years and remain on course to have 1,000 stores across the UK by 2022.

APPLY

We’re delighted that you’d like to apply. It’s pretty competitive so make sure you’ve done your homework and that you’re primed and ready to demonstrate your skills
