About Us

At Aldi, we pride ourselves on providing the highest quality products, at the lowest price. So Quality Control is an incredibly thorough process for us. Before anything goes out to our stores, we perform all kinds of ‘spot checks’ on the short-life products that come into the Distribution Centre, such as fruit and vegetables, flowers, meats, fish and bakery goods.

It’s not just about being committed to our customers - there are also legal requirements that we must adhere to. We have to make sure that our products meet certain legal standards as well as our own internal quality standards. At Aldi, we’ve set very strict criteria that the products have to live up to, with a zero tolerance policy.

Technology plays a big part. Driven by our love of efficiency, we use a tablet system that enables us to centralise our product specifications. That means we can access, update and share information in real time. If anything isn’t of the highest quality, all stakeholders will know about it – and quickly. No stone left unturned, no satsuma left unprodded. It’s what our customers deserve, and why they keep coming back for more.

What kind of roles are there?

There are roles at every level, from QC Leader to QC Assistant. If you show the right qualities and blaze a trail with your wonderful ideas and skills – there are clear paths to experience them all.

Out in the warehouse, we have a busy team of Quality Control Assistants checking our short-life products before they leave for our stores. Whenever the QC Leader is called out, for example to a supplier or to a meeting with the Trading Director, you’ll step in to take the reins.

An energetic leader, you’ll offer your expertise to keep things moving smoothly. A real people person, you’ll keep the team happy and motivated, ensuring that our products comply with our exact standards. Attention to detail is a must and you’re passionate about our business, our produce and what we’re trying to achieve for our customers. You’ll also have the flexibility to work shifts which could include nights.

Stamina? Check. Personal pride in your role? Double check. You’ll be the person we’ll count on to keep everything moving beautifully.

We’re good at lots of things at Aldi, but we’re particularly good at looking after our people. Yes, you’ll need to work hard and we expect you to be committed (you know, turning up on time, working hard, that sort of thing) but we’ll make every effort to show our appreciation. That’s why we offer the following benefits:

Market-leading package

Yes, the rumours are true: we pay incredibly well. But in return, we’ll ask a lot of you. That’s why we want you to feel looked after.

Nice working environment

Fresh. Energised. Attractive. Those are just some of the terms you could use to describe where you’ll work. It’s the kind of place where you can do great things. A place where your ideas will be heard and you’ll have the freedom to put them into action.

Excellent work-life balance

We always make sure our people have a great work-life balance. Plenty of time off, fantastic benefits and some decent salaries to holiday in style.

Great opportunities to develop

At Aldi we’ll value you for what you can do, rather than where you’ve come from. So we’ll accept, recognise and often implement your ideas and recognise your contribution.

Did you know... our small team check an astonishing 25,000 units of products each and every day.

We’re delighted that you’d like to apply. It’s pretty competitive so make sure you’ve done your homework and that you’re primed and ready to demonstrate your skills.
