What are your main responsabilities as an Employer Branding Specialist at Action?

We know that Action, as a store, has a strong name brand, over 75% of Dutch families frequent our stores. That is the kind of recognition we aspire to have as an employer as well. That is where you come in, by creating a strategic vision, across our 7 countries, aligning it with our brand, our market and what we offer our employees.

You will establish the Employer Branding Framework across our countries, balancing the local and global needs. You are our recruitment marketing expert with the ability to advise on the best ways Action can engage its target market in fun and exciting ways.

As an Employer Branding Specialist you work closely with our recruitment team and the business, involving them in initiatives, making them part of labor market campaigns and stimulating the Action feeling. By improving our channels and content, setting up the communication calendar (in collaboration with Marketing and Communications) you help the recruiters attract the best talent to Action.

Whilst you will be based in Zwaagdijk-Oost, you will have counterparts in our other countries. In creating a strategy you will consult with them on the demands specific to their countries. By making sure your strategy is scalable, you ensure that Action has the same strong brand across the borders. By building a matrix you make sure all the relevant departments can carry out our vision.

The nature of Employer Branding within Action puts a strong emphasis on stakeholder management. Whilst you are part of the recruitment team, building your strategy requires you to confer with our departments, finding brand ambassadors within those departments and help them present their departments to the labor market.

As an Employer Branding Specialist you are the strategist of our recruitment department, you are expected to contribute to the tactical and practical roll out of the strategy.

You are a dynamic, brand ambassador that has the ability to look into the mind of candidates/ potential employees, across geographies and cultures. In order to do this, you make use of your diverse network of experts and external parties. You are a reliable, realistic individual, and in addition:

  • You have completed a degree in higher education, preferably in the field of HRM or Marketing.
  • You have 5+ years of relevant work experience within the field of international recruitment, employer branding and job marketing.
  • You have excellent command of English, both verbally and written.
