Overall purpose

Work directly with our Medical Director and Telehealth & Digital Innovation Director on projects. Support their team by providing data analysis and technology research for the Assistance Business Line to

  • help drive business intelligence
  • inform digital strategy prioritization, opportunity and feasibility across a range of initiatives focused on medical assistance delivery.

The key objectives are to (a) quantify current processes and service delivery models, and (b) research and identify new digital solutions or technology that could yield benefit to those processes/delivery models.

This internship will give you the opportunity to work with various subject matter experts, meet our internal stakeholders and be part of large scale projects. We look forward to meeting you and discuss this opportunity further

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business process mapping
  • Data analysis (including cleaning, regression analysis, pivot tables, and creating management dashboards)
  • Technology review/analysis to identify fit of those technologies with our business for purpose solutions – ranging from software to hardware, and related support to establish proof of concept implementation
  • Predicting impact/utilization/ROI of new telehealth solutions – from new devices to specialist access
  • Merging data to quantify key predictors of risk (which could inform future machine learning projects)
  • conduct staffing/roster analysis
  • Schedule process and engage in documentation process optimization via online tools
  • Support of upcoming projects

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Biomedical engineering, engineering, data science or IT related degree

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Data analysis and presentation (eg. Excel, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Interested and/or understanding of telehealth and digital health solutions – including hardware, communications technology, and care delivery models
  • Knowledgeable with data security and privacy regulation

Required Competencies

  • Problem-solving of complex business or technical issues
  • Clear communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with people across geographies and cultures (passionate to work in a multicultural environment)

Required Work Experience

  • Previous work experience in the healthcare or telecommunications industry is a plus
  • Rather than work experience, we are more looking for a candidate with an open mindset! Someone who enjoys business processes and analysing the effectiveness of technological solutions.

Additional Information

This is a 12-month paid internship. Start date is ASAP.(negotiable).
